What Do You Do When There is Never Enough?

The Discipleship Strategy: How to Find the Missing Piece in Your Ministry

A 3-Step Clarity Framework for Strategic Collaboration

Every ministry CEO wrestles with the feeling that the demands of the mission outpace the resources at hand. We see the large harvest and feel the smallness of our team. But the feeling of scarcity is a strategic illusion, not a spiritual reality.

At Collaborative Christian Media (CCM), our core belief is anchored in the principle of God's Prior Provision: He has already equipped the Body of Christ with everything required to achieve His will. The key is strategic alignment—connecting what has already been provided.

This truth is powerfully illustrated in the words, "The Lord hath need" (Matthew 21:3). Jesus didn't commission the disciples to find a donkey; He directed them to the donkey that was already prepared and waiting.

Your ministry's needs are no different. God has positioned the specific resources you require—the expertise, the gift, the technology—just as He prepared Esther for a critical time or placed Joseph into the palace. The question is: Will we have the faith and the clarity to ask for the resource and connect the provision?

When ministry connects with this prepared provision, multiplication follows obedience:

  • The boy's small lunch fed thousands because he gave what he had.

  • The widow's small jar of oil multiplied because she first obeyed the prophet's instruction.

The resource that feels too small to matter becomes perfectly aligned and miraculous when offered in faith. Your act of aligning the what (the job/task) is what unlocks the who (the prepared resource).

Our mission is to solve the disconnected joint problem, fulfilling Paul's instruction in Ephesians 4:16 that the body grows when every part is "joined and held together" and "working properly."

Here is the CCM Clarity Framework—a strategic, faith-driven audit to align the provision God has already secured.

Step 1: The Aptitude Inventory: Name the Missing Gift
Stop defining your need by a job title (like "Need a new Director"). Instead, name the specific Spiritual Gift AND Core Skill you truly need (like "Need someone with the gift of exhortation and the skill of video storytelling"). This forces you to look past a person's résumé and focus on the purpose God prepared.

Step 2: The Collaboration Cost Audit: Calculate the Time-Drain
This is the key diagnostic step. Find a core task that is currently being done inefficiently by a leader who is overqualified or unsuited for it (a financial director trying to write curriculum, for example). How much of that leader's time is wasted per month on that single, mismatched task? That time is the direct cost of your disconnected joint.

Step 3: The Surgical Search: Connect the Prepared Resource
Don't waste time on broad networking. Use your answers from Step 1 (the needed gift) and Step 2 (the time-drain cost) to search specifically within trusted educational platforms and specialized networks, like CCM, for the one specialist who has the exact gift and skill to fix the time-drain. You are not hiring; you are simply connecting the missing piece to the right place.

This is a practical way to shift from constantly struggling to simply connecting what God has already provided. Remember the prophet Elijah and the widow of Zarephath? God matched the prophet's need for provision with the widow's tiny jar of oil and flour. Faith and obedience turned a lack into a divine resource solution.
"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that HE WILL SEND forth laborers into his harvest".

BC Missions' Journey to Become
Collaborative Christian Media (CCM)

BC Missions, founded in 2018, started the Marvelous Message of Salvation library to support Christians seeking to share the gospel with bilingual people. There is something special about hearing the truth of the Gospel in your heart language, and CCM still considers it one of the best collaborations in our company's history.
